The Denver Nuggets travel to the Air Canada Center to battle the Toronto Raptors on Monday night.
The Nuggets looked set to improve to 2-0 on the season but instead they fell to the Trailblazers by 115-113 in overtime on Saturday night for their first loss of the season. Nikola Jokic led the way with 23 points and 17 rebounds, Emmanuel Mudiay added 21 points while four other players finished in double figures in scoring, but it still wasn't enough to get past the Blazers who were led by a game-high 37 points from Damian Lillard. As a team, the Nuggets dominated the boards by 61-45 but they committed 17 turnovers and shot just 38 percent from the field as a team which cost them the game in the end.

Meanwhile, the Raptors will be looking to bounce back from Friday's 94-91 home loss to the Cavaliers. DeMar DeRozan had a field day with 32 points on 12 of 28 shooting, Kyle Lowry added 17 points with four assists while Jonas Valanciunas chipped in with 10 points and 17 rebounds but it stilll wasn't enough to get past the Cavaliers who were led by 26 points from Kyrie irving. As a team, the Raptors did a great job to stay in the game despite trailing from the opening tip, but they just couldn't find a basket in the last minute of the game,
In ATS trends, the nuggets are 1-4 ATS in their last five against the Eastern Conference and 1-4 ATS in hteir last five Monday games, while the Raptors are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games against a team with a winning road record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games overall.
Head to head, the Nuggets are 13-5 ATS in the last 18 meetings overall and 4-0 ATS in the last four meetings in Toronto.
Both of these teams are coming off tough narrow losses so you know they'll be itching to get back on the court, but I'm leaning towards the Raptors at home to win with their defense. Take Toronto to win this one and pull away late to cover the spread.
