Washington Wizards vs. Toronto Raptors - 11/2/16 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Washington Wizards look for their first victory of the season when they play their 2016-17 home opener. The Washington Wizards are averaging 101 points on 43.3 percent shooting and allowing 113 points on 47.2 percent shooting. John Wall is averaging 17 points and 11.5 assists while Markieff Morris is averaging 16.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. Bradley Beal is the third double-digit scorer and Otto Porter Jr. is grabbing five rebounds. The Washington Wizards are shooting 24.4 percent from beyond the arc and 81.4 percent from the free throw line. The Washington Wizards are allowing 47.4 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 40 rebounds per game. The Washington Wizards are 1-4 in their last five regular season home openers.

The Raptors are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Wizards are 13-5 ATS in their last 18 games playing on 2 days rest and 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games. The Raptors are 2-7 ATS in the last 9 meetings and the under is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings.

I've made it known that I'm not a fan of the Washington Wizards roster. If Wall and Beal don't produce consistently, the Wizards struggle with their lack of depth and overall talent. The Raptors are easily better than the Wizards. However, Toronto is a different team on the road and the Wizards will be hyped for their first game on their home court. This is probably going to be one of those games where Washington's stars show up. In a pick em game, I'm siding with the Wizards at home.
