The Los Angeles Clippers and the Detroit Pistons duke it out on Monday night at the Staples Center.
The Pistons improved to 4-2 on the season with a dominant 103-86 win over the Nuggets on Saturday night. Andre Drummond led from the front with 19 points and 20 rebounds, Marcus Morris and Jon Leuer chipped in with 15 points each while Ish Smith had 11 points with eight assists as the Pistons scored the first 10 points of the game to set the tone for an easy win. Defensively, the Pistons were at their best against the Nuggets, holding them to just 33 percent shooting from the field while shooting 48 percent themselves.

Meanwhile, the Clippers will be aiming for a third straight win after crushing the Spurs by 116-92 on Saturday. Blake Griffin poured in a season-high 28 points, Jamal Crawford added 16 points while Marreese Speights chimed in with 15 points off the bench as the Clippers put on a show in the first half to lead by 73-55 going into halftime to set up the Clippers' biggest victory against the Spurs in 160 games. With the win, Los Angeles improves to 5-1 overall and 3-0 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against a team above .600, while the Clippers are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games overall and 7-2 ATS in their last nine home games.
Head to head, the Pistons are 2-5-1 ATS in the last eight meetings overall and the home team is 3-0-1 ATS in the last four meetings.
The Clippers have enjoyed plenty of success against the Pistons in recent seasons and should be confident of winning a third straight following their marquee road win over the Spurs on Saturday. I like the way the Clippers have been playing, especially Griffin who is really starting to look like his old self.
