The New Orleans Pelicans invade the Bradley Center to battle the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night.
Still without a win after eight games into the season, the Pelicans are off to their worst ever start. In Tuesday's 102-94 loss at Sacramento, Anthony Davis continued his red-hot start with 34 points, eight rebounds and four blocks, Buddy Hield added 14 points and E'Twaun Moore chipped in with 13 points but it still wasn't enough as the Pelicans continue to struggle without key starters in Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans and Quincy Pondexter. With the loss, New Orleans drops to 0-8 on the season, but it would be unfair to say that they are playing poorly as only one of their eight losses has been by more than 10 points.

Meanwhile, the Bucks will be looking to bounce back after having their three-game win streak snapped by an 86-75 overtime defeat at Dallas on Sunday night. Playing against a Mavericks team missing key starters in Deron Williams and Dirk Nowitzki, the Bucks may have thought they were in for an easy win but the Bucks shot a miserable 36.6 percent from the field and simply had no answer for Harrison Barnes who poured in 34 points. Jabari Parker led the team with 16 points, Greg Monroe had 14 points with 12 rebounds and Giannis Antetokuonmpo added 11 points as the Bucks dropped to 4-3 on the season and 1-2 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Pelicans are 1-4 ATS in their last five road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall, while the Bucks are 2-5 ATS in their last seven home games and 3-10 ATS in their last 13 games overall.
Head to head, the over is 5-2 in the last seven meetings overall and 6-2 in the last eight meetings in Milwaukee.
You have to feel for the Pelicans who continue to struggle with injuries, but you have to give them credit for remaining competitive on a nightly basis. With that being said, the Bucks were on a bit of a roll before their latest loss and they'll be keen to get a win following their overtime loss on Sunday. Take Milwaukee to win and get the cover at home.
