The Line: Portland Trail Blazers -6.5 -- Over/Under: 211 See the Latest Odds
The Sacramento Kings travel to the Moda Center to take on the Portland Trailblazers on Saturday.
The Kings were aiming for a third straight win last night but instead fell to the improving Lakers by 101-91. DeMarcus Cousins led from the front with 28 points, nine rebounds and four assists, Rudy Gay added 15 points while Ty Lawson chipped in with 11 points but no one else finished in double figures as the Kings wasted a real chance to move back to a .500 record. In fact, the Kings hit the ground running in this game and found themselves up by as many as 19 points in the second quarter but their offense just couldn't produce any easy baskets in the 56-36 second half dominated by the Lakers. With the loss, Sacramento drops to 4-6 overall and 2-2 at home.

Meanwhile, the Trailblazers will be looking to bounce back after having their three-game win streak snapped by the Clippers in a 111-80 blowout loss on Wednesday night. Shabazz Napier finished with a team-high 11 points off the bench but no other player finished in double figures in scoring as the Blazers put together their worst performance in a very long time. Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum finished with eight points each while Mason Plumlee shot just one of 12 for his four points. The Blazers were slow out of the gates against the Clippers which really hurt them as the Clippers jumped all over them to lead by 50-18 to put the game to bed early. With the loss, Portland drops to 5-4 on the season and 3-2 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Kings are 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games against a team with a winning record, 4-1-1 ATS in their last six games playing on zero days rest and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, while the Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a losing record.
Head to head, the kings are 1-4 ATS in the last five meetings and the road team is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings.
The Kings have been in decent form and really should have beaten the Lakers last night to make it three wins in a row, but now they have to travel to the Moda Center to take on a Trailblazers team coming off a massive loss. The Kings are more than capable of pulling off the minor upset, but the Blazers will be desperate to get back on the court and atone for their blowout loss against the Clippers so I'm banking on Lillard to lead his team to a solid win at home.
