The red-hot Atlanta Hawks travel to the Spectrum Center tonight to battle the Charlotte Hornets.
The Hawks have been in great form to start the season and they'll be aiming to build on their current six-game win streak after taking down the Bucks by 107-100 on Wednesday night. Paul Millsap led the scoring with 21 points, Mike Muscala added 16 points while four more players finished in double figures in scoring but it was on the defensive end where the Hawks shone, holding the Bucks to just 39.8 percent shooting and just 35 points in the first half, thanks to a dominant 31-9 second quarter. Thabo Sefolosha and Dwight Howard both missed the game while dealing with injuries and their status remains unclear for Friday.

Meanwhile, the Hornets were able to snap a two-game skid with a 115-108 win at Minnesota on Tuesday. Kemba Walker led from the front with 30 points, five rebounds, six assists and five steals, Frank Kaminsky III provided the spark off the bench with 20 points while Nicolas Batum chipped in with 16 points, and seven assists as the Hornets used a dominant 36-17 third quarter to outlast the Timberwolves and improve to 7-3 overall and 4-1 on the road this season.
In ATS trends, the Hawks are 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall but just 3-10 ATS in their last 13 road games, while the Hornets are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five games overall and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games against a team above .600.
Head to head, the Hawks are 13-6-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings overall but just 0-3-1 ATS in the last four meetings in Charlotte.
The Hornets have opened as slight favorites at home but I think the value is with the underrated Hawks in this one as they're the team in better form and are expecting to have Howard back in the lineup.
