The Dallas Mavericks travel to the Amway Center to take on the Orlando Magic on Saturday night.
The Mavericks are in a world of hurt as they're now looking to avoid a fifth straight loss after falling to the Grizzlies by 80-64 last night. Harrison Barnes led the team with 15 points while Seth Curry and Jonathan Gibson chipped in with 11 points each, but no other player finished in double figures as the Mavs shot a miserable 28.8 percent from the field. Dallas was without Dirk Nowitzki, Deron Williams, JJ Barea and Devin Harris so it was always going to be a tough night, but it doesn't seem like reinforcements are on the way as Nowitzki and Williams are both expected to sit out at least one more game while Harris and Barea are still a long way from returning to the court.

Meanwhile, the Magic have lost four of their last six games but they'll be feeling good following Wednesday's 89-82 home win over the Pelicans. Serge Ibaka and Evan Fournier led the team in scoring with 16 points each while four more players finished in double figures but credit this win to the Magic's defense as they held the Pelicans to just 36.6 percent shooting while forcing 17 turnovers. To be fair, the Pelicans were without their best player in Anthony Davis who sat out with injury, but the Magic will take any win they can get as they're only 5-7 overall and 3-3 at home after the win.
In ATS trends, the Mavs are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last five road games, while the Magic are 1-6 ATS in their last seven games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last four home games.
Head to head, the Mavs are 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings overall and 9-1 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Orlando.
You really couldn't put your hard-earned money on either team in this one and be confident of a return, but the Mavs are just too shorthanded at the moment and should be in for another rough night, so I'm reluctantly going with the Magic at home in a game they really should win.
