The Boston Celtics invade the Target Center to battle the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.
The Celtics have won four of their last six games and will be looking to build on Saturday's thrilling 94-92 win over the Pistons. Isaiah Thomas led the team with 24 points while Avery Bradley added 13 points, but the player of the night for the Celtics was actually Al Horford who returned from a nine-game absence to post 18 points with 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks as well as the game-winning putback layup with 1.3 seconnds left on the clock. With the win, Boston improves to 7-6 overall and 3-4 on the road.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have lost six of their last nine games and will be feeling a little low on confidence after losing to the Grizzlies in a 93-71 blowout on Saturday night. Zach LaVine led the team with 22 points on nine of 16 shooting while Karl-Anthony Towns added 17 points, but no other player finished in double digits in scoring as the Timberwolves were held to their lowest points total for a game this season. Andrew Wiggins was particularly disappointing for the Wolves as he was averaging 33 points in the previous six outings but he missed nine of 11 shots to finish with just seven points. With the loss, Minnesota falls to 4-8 on the season and 1-5 on the road.
In ATS trends, the Celtics are 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games against Western Conference opponents and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games against a team below .400, while the Timberwolves are 0-4 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 5-2 ATS in their last seven against Eastern Conference opponents.
Head to head, the Celtics are 0-4 ATS in the last four meetings in Minnesota and the Home team is 8-0 ATS in the last eight meetings overall.
The Timberwolves have enjoyed plenty of success ATS against the Celtics in recent meetings, but I'm going against the trend and taking the in-form Celtics to stay hot and win this one.
