The New Orleans Pelicans invade the Fiserv Forum to do battle with the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night.

The New Orleans Pelicans have been in a bit of a slump as they’ve lost five of their last eight games, but they will be aiming for a third straight win after taking down the Pistons in a 128-118 home win last night. Zion Williamson led the team with 32 points on 13 of 18 shooting, Brandon Ingram added 27 points and eight assists while Steven Adams chipped in with 14 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks. As a team, the Pelicans shot a healthy 55 percent from the field and 10 of 23 from the 3-point line as they fell behind going into halftime, before taking over in the second half where they outscored the Pistons by 64-49.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks have been in decent shape as they will be gunning for a fourth straight victory after blowing past the Timberwolves in a 139-112 home win on Tuesday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 37 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, Bryn Forbes added 23 points off the bench while Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez each scored 15 points. As a team, the Bucks shot 53 percent from the field and a sizzling 20 of 42 from the 3-point line as they took control of the game with 41 points in the second quarter, before running away with it in the second half.

Looking at the betting trends, the Pelicans are 2-6 ATS in their last eight road games, 5-2 ATS in their last seven games as an underdog and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games overall. The Bucks are 6-2 ATS in their last eight home games and 2-5 ATS in their last seven games playing on one days’ rest.

Head to head, the over is 8-1 in the last nine meetings overall and the Pelicans are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Milwaukee.

The Pelicans are starting to pick up some steam with a couple of wins in a row and the same could be said for the Bucks who are riding a three-game win streak. Williamson has really picked up his scoring lately while Ingram has been consistent, but they’re going to have to be at their best to compete with the Bucks who have won 12 of their 16 home games. I do like the Bucks to get the win, but the Pelicans are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Milwaukee and I think they can keep that trend going by keeping this one to single digits.
