The Philadelphia 76ers looks to avoid their third straight defeat as they welcome the Utah Jazz to town

The Philadelphia 76ers looks to avoid their third straight defeat as they welcome the Utah Jazz to town.

Head to head, the Jazz are 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings while the home team is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The 76ers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference and 15-7 ATS in their last 22 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The Jazz on the other hand are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall, but just 4-9-1 ATS in their last 14 road games vs. a team with a losing home record and 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 road games.

After returning home from a perfect 3-0 road trip, the Philadelphia 76ers has hit a bump in the road with two straight losses at home to fall back to .500. With their big offseason acquisition in Andrew Bynum still on the sidelines, Philadelphia continues to get dominated inside, having been severely outrebounded in back-to-back loss to Milwaukee and Detroit. The 76ers were outrebounded by a smaller Bucks team by 17 and then in Wednesday’s loss to a previously winless Pistons team, Philly was trailing the rebounding count 33-15 at the half time break.

The Utah Jazz continues to struggle on the road as they dropped to 1-5 away from Salk Lake City after their 98-93 loss against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night. Having just secured their first road win of the season in their 140-133 triple overtime thriller against Toronto, the Jazz hoped they could make it two in a row against the Celtics, however it wasn’t to be as Boston shot exactly 50% from the floor and ran away with things in the second half. Paul Millsap led the way with 20 points and 14 rebounds for a Utah team that won the rebounding edge 48-33.

This is a real tough one because even though the Jazz aren't great on the road, they are huge inside and have a massive rebounding edge, something the 76ers struggle against. Given Philly's recent struggles, I have to go with a bigger Utah team here, but I would stay away personally cause this could easily go either way...
