The Miami Heat look to stay undefeated at home as they play host to the Brooklyn Nets tonight.

The Heat have bounced back from their upset loss against the Knicks with wins over the Nuggets and the Suns. After Ray Allen snatched victory from the Nuggets, the Heat blew by the Suns with a 124-99 win behind 23 points and 11 assists from LeBron James and a combined 40 points from Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. One major improvement the Heat have made from last season has been their shooting from the three-point line, which is no surprise when you acquire Ray Allen to bolster your bench. Against the Suns, it really felt like an All-Star game as the Heat moved the ball so well and shot lights out from the land of plenty (15 of 26).

On the other hand, the Nets will be disappointed with their recent loss as they were up by 22 points before allowing the Timberwolves back into the contest and win by 107-96. Deron Williams had 18 points and 13 assists while Joe Johnson looked good for his 19 points, but the dynamic duo received little support from anyone else as the Nets were pretty stagnant in their offense overall. There is plenty of room to improve for the Nets and the first thing on the agenda should be their lack of production on the boards and their lack of scoring from Kris Humphries who has totalled just seven points on the season after scoring just two against the Wolves.

Head to head, the Nets are just 2-6 ATS in the last eight meetings overall, compared to 7-2 ATS in the last nine meetings in Miami.

The line for this game is set quite aggressively in the Heat's favor and I got to say, I actually like them to cover this line and then some. The Heat look like they're in mid-season form while the Nets are still working on building some team chemistry. As tempted as I am to pick the Nets to sneak in a backdoor cover against the spread, I can't ignore how strong the Heat have looked in their last two wins. Go Heat.
