Line: Magic -2

Tonight we see a rematch of the NBA Finals from last year as the Lakers continue their road trip to the home of Disney World to take on the Orlando Magic.

The Lakers come into tonight's showdown having lost two straight road games against the Miami Heat in overtime by three points and then followed that up the very next night with a 15 point loss to the Charlotte Bobcats. The Lakers are 6-4 straight up in their past 10 games with the other two losses in that stretch coming against the Mavericks and Celtics, with the Lakers going and 2-7-1 ATS in those 10. On the season the Lakers are ranked 5th in points per game, putting up a shade under 103 ppg, with shooting percentages of 46.0 FG%, 76.9 FT% and 34.4% behind the arc. The Lakers have been one of the better road teams this season as they have gone 17-12 away from Staples Center, although they are just 11-17-1 ATS in those games. The Lakers also have the edge over the Eastern Conference teams this season, winning 20 of a possible 26 against the East.

The Orlando Magic are currently riding a four game winning streak which includes easy wins over the Nets, Warriors, Sixers, and Heat. This Magic team is really geling right now with everyone playing well as they have gone 7-3 straight up in their last ten games and 6-4 ATS during that span.
On offense the Magic up putting up 101.7 points per game which ranks in the top ten in the league, with shooting percentages of 46.3 FG%, 72.5 FT%, and 36.3% from down town. The Magic have been one of the best home teams this season going 24-6 straight up and 17-13 ATS, however against the Western Conference the Magic are a modest 13-9.

I think the Magic will continue their dominance over the Lakers tonight and show us all that they are a better squad than last year's with the main difference being the subraction of Hedo Turkoglu and the addition of Vince Carter and a healthy Jameer Nelson. The one glaring weakness for this Lakers squad is the production from their point guard spot and I don't see old man Derek Fisher being able to keep up with Jameer Nelson tonight....

Weezy's Pick: Magic -2
