The Chicago Bears head to Heinz Field to square off with the Pittsburgh Steelers in week three.
I would say the Bears have been the masters of the close game thus far in beating the Bengals and Vikings at home by a combined five points. The Bears edged Minnesota 31-30 when Jay Cutler hit Martellus Bennett with a 16 yard strike with ten ticks on the clock, as Chicago came from behind for the second time in as many weeks. This might have been an exciting contest for fans, but it was mistake-filled with each team committing three turnovers with Christian Ponder tossing a pick six, while the Vikings returned a fumble for six. Jay Cutler (28-39/290) threw for three touchdowns and a pair of interceptions, with Brandon Marshall toataling seven catches for 113 yards, while Matt Forte and Bennett combined for 145 yards on 18 receptions. Forte gave the rushing attack some punch with his 19 carry, 90 yard effort but it was nearly wasted on miscues and defensive lapses not including the Vikes returning the opening kick 105 yards.

If you have watched the Steelers through two games it has been easy to see why they have begun the season 0-2. A 16-9 loss to Tennessees in their opener was a surprise, but probably had many people thinking that it was a bad day at the office and there's no need to panic. Make that two bad days at the office following a 20-10 defeat at Cincinnati in what looked like a carbon copy of the loss to the Titans. It all starts with the offensive line that has led the way with 80 rushing yards in two games with defensive lineman draped all over Ben Roethlisberger when Pitt tries to throw. The Bengals held Pitt to less then 300 yards and forced a pair of turnovers, which was too much for the Steelers defense to overcome as they were on the field for over 35 minutes and needed a perfect game to remain competitive.
This could be a bad spot for the Bears with an angry Pittsburgh at home and not wanting an 0-3 start. Having said that, the Steelers were angry Monday night and that didn't matter and I can't ignore what I've seen the last two weeks...
