The Denver Broncos and the Philadelphia Eagles face off on Sunday in Denver for a week 4 NFL match up.
It’s tough to find a team in the NFL playing better than the Denver Broncos are right now but it is a long season and Super Bowls aren’t played in September. Denver hasn’t just won every game, they have done so impressively and while missing their top defender as well. Peyton manning is just padding his Hall of Fame stats completing 73 percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns and no interceptions while being sacked four times. Knowshon Moreno is averaging 4.7 yards per carry and has scored two touchdowns and Montee Ball is averaging 3.2 yards per carry. Demaryius Thomas has caught 20 passes with two touchdowns, Eric Decker and Wes Welker have 19 catches each, and Julius Thomas has 14 catches with four touchdowns. The Broncos defense is allowing 23.7 points per game and 370.3 yards but they are number one against the run allowing just 43.3 rushing yards per game with eight sacks and six interceptions. Wesey Woodyard has 25 tackles, Danny Trevathan has 20 tackles, and Duke Ihenacho has 19 tackles. At this point the Broncos simply look like they are going to be very tough to beat.

The Philadelphia Eagles started 2013 with a blazing start but since the first half of their first game they have fizzled losing their next two. Michael Vick has been knocked around and he has completed just 56 percent of his passes with five touchdowns and two interceptions while being sacked 11 times but rushing for 187 yards and two touchdowns. LeSean McCoy is averaging 6.4 yards per carry with two touchdowns and Bryce Brown is averaging 3.0 yards per carry playing sparingly. DeSean Jackson leads the Eagles receivers with 19 catches and two touchdowns, Jason Avant has 11 catches and a touchdown, and Riley Cooper has six catches and a touchdown. The Eagles defense is allowing 28.7 points per game and 438.3 yards with nine sacks, two interceptions, and four fumble recoveries. Mychal Kendricks has 27 tackles, DeMeco Ryans has 24 tackles, and Nate Allen has 22 tackles. The Eagles offense ranks near the top of all stats including number one in rushing but they are at the bottom defensively.
Denver is 4-0 against the spread against a team with a losing record, 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight games, and 5-1-1 against the spread following a win. Philadelphia is 7-18-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 17-8 against the spread in their last 25 road games against a team with a winning home record, and 1-5 against the spread in their last six games overall.
Denver looks to be a machine right now and up against a Philly defense who gives it up in bunches and a mistake prone offense look for the Broncos to roll up another big score and a cover.
