TV:

We’ve reached the middle of the week, which means there’s only one more day before Week 7 gets started around the NFL. There are plenty of injury considerations and running storylines dominating the league talk this morning, so let’s take a look at a few key players who will have an impact on the upcoming games. Here’s the latest.

Mario Manningham, WR, San Francisco 49ers: As of right now, Manningham is still on the Niners’ PUP list, but that could be changing soon. Today will be a big day for him, as he’ll be attempting to test out his knee during practice, and the team will gauge where to go from there based on how he feels.
Best-case-scenario here is that Manningham’s knee comes away great and he sees his first action of the year in Week 7 against the Titans. We happen to think that’s a pretty lofty expectation, but hey, anything’s possible.

Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seattle Seahawks: We’ll have to keep an eye on Lynch over the next day or so. Lynch missed out on practice yesterday due to a hip injury, which is the same ailment that was giving him trouble last week. He was considered questionable heading into the Titans game, but everything worked out okay and he was able to play. As of right now we’re expecting a similar situation here, but given the short turnaround time there’s a bit of concern involved. The Seahawks play the Cardinals tomorrow night.

Jerod Mayo, LB, New England Patriots: And now we have a potentially devastating injury report out of New England. This morning, there are reports flying around out there that say Mayo underwent surgery for a torn pectoral muscle yesterday, which could potentially put him out of action for the entire season. He apparently suffered the injury during the Pats’ improbable Week 6 victory against New Orleans.
Mayo is the team’s leading tackler, with 55 takedowns and 1.5 sacks to his credit. If he is indeed sidelined, it’ll be a huge blow to the New England defense. They play the Jets on the road in Week 7.

Antonio Brown, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: One matchup we’ll be watching intently in Week 7 is the Steelers hosting their rival Ravens. Brown is a particular player of interest, as he’s coming off a big nine-catch, 86-yard effort against the Jets. In his last home game (Week 3), he managed a whopping 196 yards and two scores. If the Steelers’ rookie RB Le’Veon Bell can get a ground game going (easier said than done), Brown could have another big day through the air.

Week 7 Schedule: Here's a look at the upcoming games on the NFL schedule. We've got some pretty interesting matchups on the slate, so it should be a pretty full weekend of TV-watching.
