The Jacksonville Jaguars and the Arizona Cardinals face off on Sunday in Jacksonville for a week 11 NFL matchup.
The Jacksonville Jaguars finally got into the win column in week 10 beating the Titans in Tennessee but overall it has been a tough season for the Jags. The Jaguars offense is the worst in the NFL in both points, 12.8, and yards, 278.4, per game and they are minus five in turnover ratio. Chad Henne is having another pathetic season as a NFL QB with more than twice as many interceptions as touchdowns although he has completed 60.6 percent of his passes. Maurice Jones-Drew has 432 yards and three touchdowns to one again lead the Jaguars ground attack. Cecil Shorts has 48 receptions and Ace Sanders has 16 receptions as the passing attack struggles even more with Justin Blackmon suspended. The Jaguars defense is last in the NFL in points allowed per game at 32.3 and 28th in yards allowed at 388.9. Paul Posluszny has 88 tackles, Geno Hayes has 59 tackles, and John Cyprien has 53 tackles. While the Jaguars won’t go winless this season they have a lot of work to do to be competitive.

The Arizona Cardinals have won their last two games and they are now over .500 for the season and in contention for a playoff spot. The Cardinals offense is averaging 20.8 points and 316.4 yards per game and they are minus one in turnover ratio. Carson Palmer has completed 61.4 percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns and 15 interceptions. The Cardinals running game has struggled but Rashard Mendenhall has 323 yards and Andre Ellington has 388 yards. Larry Fitzgerald has 39 receptions and five touchdowns, Michael Floyd has 36 catches and two touchdowns, and Andre Roberts has 25 catches. Defensively the Cardinals are solid allowing 22 points and 330.6 yards per game. Karlos Dansby has 78 tackles, Tyrann Mathieu has 56 tackles, and Patrick Peterson has three interceptions. If the Cardinals can win the games they are expected to win they should be a Wildcard team this year.
Jacksonville is 8-19-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 2-8 against the spread in their last 10 games, and 0-4 against the spread in their last four home games. Arizona is 5-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 2-6 against the spread following a win, and 4-0 against the spread on the road against a team with a losing home record.
This should be a low scoring defensive game but I see the Jags really up against it facing this Cardinals defense and while the number looks to be a shade high it’s a lean to Arizona.
