NFL Updates: 49ers-Redskins, Week 13 Schedule and More
November 25, 2013
What a crazy weekend it was in the NFL. We saw some near-unbelievable performances on the field in a round of games that will have heavy playoff implications moving forward. With that said, let’s take a moment to check in on some of the news-making players and scenarios across the league. Here’s the latest.
What to Watch Tonight: Week 12 will be finishing up this evening, with the San Francisco 49ers taking a trip to D.C. to visit the Washington Redskins. The 49ers (6-4) are trying to keep pace in the NFC West, while the Redskins (3-7) have pretty much extinguished any hopes they may have held concerning a playoff run. That said, both teams have had difficulties recently, especially on the offensive side of the ball.
San Francisco’s Colin Kaepernick is in something of a slump recently, with 218 yards passing, two touchdowns and two interceptions in his last pair of games. He needs a strong showing to reassert himself as one of the premiere young quarterbacks in the league.
Meanwhile, Robert Griffin III hasn’t fared much better. He’s coming off a head-scratching final play last week that ruined any chance of a comeback against the Eagles. He’ll also be without his second-best receiver, TE Jordan Reed, due to a concussion.
Coverage begins at 8:40 PM ET on ESPN.
