The Cincinnati Bengals and the Minnesota Vikings face off on Sunday in Cincinnati in week 16 NFL action.
The Cincinnati Bengals lead the AFC North but with two games left to play they hardly look like their work is done. Just a few weeks back the Bengals looked to be a sure thing to win the AFC North but after going 3-3 in their last six games it is just a one game lead over the Ravens. Andy Dalton has completed 61.5 percent of his passes for 3,649 yards with 27 touchdowns and 16 interceptions. BenJarvus Green-Ellis has rushed for 666 yards and six touchdowns and Giovani Bernard has rushed for 653 yards and he has 49 receptions. A.J. Green has 87 receptions and eight touchdowns and Jermaine Gresham has 43 receptions. Defensively Vontaze Burfict has 151 tackles, Rey Maualuga has 69 tackles, and Wallace Gilberry has 7.5 sacks. The Bengals average 25.3 points and 362.4 yards per game and defensively they allow 19.6 points and 318.4 yards per game. The Bengals have made the playoffs the past two seasons and were hoping this was the year they made it a few steps further.

The Minnesota Vikings were a playoff team a year ago but they look to be returning to being one of the first teams picking in the NFL Draft in 2014. The Vikings are 3-2-1 in their last six games but a slow start ended their season before it even started. Matt Cassel has been in at QB and he has completed 61.9 percent of his passes for nine touchdowns and five interceptions. Adrian Peterson is probable to play in this one and he has rushed for 1,221 yards and 10 touchdowns. Greg Jennings has 59 receptions, Jerome Simpson has 44 receptions, and Cordarrelle Patterson has 40 receptions. Chad Greenway has 121 tackles, Erin Henderson has 94 tackles, and Jared Allen has 9 sacks. The Vikings are averaging 25.9 points and 353.9 yards per game while defensively they are allowing 30.4 points and 406.5 yards per game. The Vikings are looking to close the season strong.
Cincinnati is 7-0 against the spread in their last seven home games, 5-1 against the spread following a loss, and 2-5 against the spread against a team with a losing record. Minnesota is 4-0 against the spread in their last four games, 4-1 against the spread following a game that they covered the spread, and 1-4 against the spread following a win. The home team has covered the point spread in the least four meetings of these two.
The Bengals are favored by a touchdown here and I see them getting it done at home and winning easily.
