See the Latest Odds

It’s Friday (finally), and we’re fresh off a long week of off-season workouts from NFL teams around the league. That means there’s a ton of new information out there about the upcoming season, so with that in mind let’s take our daily look around the league and see who’s making news right now. Here’s the latest.

Cecil Shorts, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars: It’s been a while since we’ve checked in on Shorts, so let’s see what the latest news on him is. Yesterday, a report emerged that said he was still dealing with lingering effects from groin surgery and still has a ways to go before he’s back to his old self.
Shorts has a lot to prove this year, as it’s a contract season for him--not to mention the fact that his numbers were something of a disappointment. He had 66 grabs (a career-high), but only managed three touchdowns off 777 yards.

Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts: The Colts receiving corps is looking like they’ll be a force to be reckoned with this season, and the obvious beneficiary from all that talent will be Luck. He’s been working with new WR toy Hakeem Nicks recently, and the two are developing chemistry and rhythm in hopes of starting out their time together with a sense of consistency.
Along with Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton, the Colts WRs look outstanding on paper. TEs Coby Fleener and Dwayne Allen should take a step forward as well, and as long as Trent Richardson and the running game can get going, Indianapolis will be hard to stop when they have the ball.

Bye Weeks: With the NFL’s 2014 regular-season schedule being released this week, fans and pundits alike have been analyzing the matchups and trying to come up with tentative records for this year. Factoring heavily into that will be each team’s bye week, as it’ll serve as a chance to rest and recharge from a grueling season. Let’s take a week-by-week look at when each team’s break will be in 2014.
