Learn About the Lowest Net Worths Among NFL Owners

2014 NFL Off-Season

See the Latest Odds

We recently talked about the top ten wealthiest NFL owners, so I thought it would be fun to dedicate today to the little people…you know, the franchise owners whose bank accounts may be within a few hundred million dollars of your own. Without further ado, here are the top ten NFL owners with the lowest net worths.

Top Ten Least Valuable NFL Owners

1. Mark and Carol Davis, owners of the Oakland Raiders, are valued at a positively measly (kidding, kidding) $500 million.

2. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ owner, Dan Rooney is also worth $500 million. At least he can flaunt more championships than any other franchise in the league. Always a bright side, people.

3. Read this one with a mental asterisk, y’all. Ralph Wilson, former owner of the Buffalo Bills, is no longer with us, but the Ralph Wilson Family Trust maintained ownership of the franchise. The trust is estimated to be worth $900 million, but the exact number is unknown.

4. Mike Brown, who owns the Cincinnati Bengals, has a net worth of $925 million.

5. Alex Spanos, the San Diego Chargers’ owner, is valued at $1 billion. Maybe Spanos will figure out a way to put just a little bit of that to work to get his team a new stadium.

6. Pat Bowlen, owner of the Denver Broncos, also clocks-in with a total net worth of $1 billion. But Bowlen’s still looking for the Broncs’ next Super Bowl win…hopefully he can distract himself with some pocket change in the meantime.

7. Bud Adams, former owner of the Tennessee Titans, unfortunately passed in October of 2013. Adams’s estate, which is worth $1.1 billion, still owns the franchise.

8. Jerry Richardson, who owns the Carolina Panthers, also has a total net worth of $1.1 billion.

9. Jed York, owner of the two-times-and-counting NFC championship contender San Francisco 49ers, is valued at $1.2 billion. It’s worth noting that just $100,000 of this is his own doing; the rest was passed on from York’s mother’s side.

10. The Washington Redskins’ owner Daniel Snyder is valued at $1.2 billion. Maybe he ought to start paying fans off to fill the stands in November and December. Just a thought…
