The Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants square off at MetLife Stadium on Saturday.
The Steelers enter 2014 looking to regain their postseason form after suffering through an 8-8 campaign. Pittsburgh seemed to be an automatic when the playoffs roll around each year but last season was a bit uncharacteristic. However I don't expect that to change what will happen in the first preseason outing as Ben Roethlisberger will get a few snaps and throws in before handing the reins over to Bruce Gradkowski and Landry Jones. I'm looking forward to seeing guys like Jawan Jamison and Dri Archer getting some touches as I expect more running then passing from Pittsburgh.

The Giants looked fairly good in their 17-13 victory over Buffalo in the Hall of Fame game with the West Coast offense seeming to work well for Eli Manning in his short but effective 6-7/43 yard night. Ryan Nassib also looked good with 139 yards including a 73 yard catch and run touchdown to Corey Washington. The rushing attack produced in spurts although not consistently but you have to say the New York offense showed some positive signs in their first time out. The defensive side of the football also performed well with a pair of interceptions while holding the Bills to less then 250 yards and 1-3 in the red zone to control the scoreboard.
The Giants have one preseason game under their belt so one would assume they have some type of advantage over Pittsburgh who also will be on the road here. I really don't know how big the edge is but I'll go with the home team...
