The Houston Texans and Denver Broncos play a Saturday preseason game at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

The Houston Texans improved to 1-1 in preseason play after crushing the Atlanta Falcons, 32-7. The Texans had an all around team effort in the victory, which included a special teams touchdown from Jonathan Grimes and a defensive touchdown from Dre Hal. Ryan Fitzpatrick led the Texans in passing yards with 97, and he also tossed a touchdown. While Grimes led the Texans with 42 rushing yards, it was Alfred Blue who scored the first touchdown of the game and had Houston’s only rushing score. Overall, the Houston Texans finished the game with 323 yards and averaged just over five yards per game. Defensively, the Texans allowed 248 yards and allowed zero points in the second half. Jadeveon Clowney and Lawrence Sidbury picked up the Texans only two sacks.

NFL Preseason Week 3 Pick Denver Broncos vs. Houston Texans - 8/23/14

The Denver Broncos dominated the San Francisco 49ers, 34-0, to improve to 2-0 in the preseason. Peyton Manning proved he’s in regular season mode by completing 12 of 14 passes for 102 yards and a touchdown. Backup Brock Osweiler wasn’t far behind with 10 completions for 105 yards and a touchdown. In fact, as a team the Denver Broncos completed 30 of 38 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns. C.J. Anderson led the Broncos with 29 rushing yards and scored the only rushing touchdown of the game. The Broncos finished the game with 357 yards and scored 17 points in the second half. Defensively, the Denver Broncos allowed 230 yards and forced four turnovers. Brandon Marshall, Charles Mitchell and Omar Bolden all tied with five tackles in the game.

A lot of these spreads are crazy because the starters are expected to see much of the playing time. I still don't get it considering it's still a preseason game no matter how you slice it. Teams are still looking to get better and not exactly win the matchup.

Give me the Houston Texans and the points, as you can't turn down a touchdown in a preseason game.
