The New Orleans Saints head to Atlanta on Sunday to face off against the Falcons and their high powered offense.
The Atlanta Falcons had a rough season in 2013, but that is all in the past and now the Falcons are healthy and are looking forward to a bounce back season. Matt (don’t call me ice) Ryan has weapons all over the field to play with, most notably of course Julio Jones. Jones was injured for the majority of the season in 2013, but Jones is back and healthy, and along with White on the other side, the two make one of the best wide receiver duos in the league. Defensively the Flacons really struggled last season, especially against the run. When you think of the Saints, you think of Brees and throwing for billions of yards, but the Saints are a very good ground team as well, and if the Falcons have trouble slowing New Orleans down, it could be a long day for Atlanta.

The New Orleans Saints head to the Georgia Dome on Sunday to face the Falcons, a place where, in the past, the Saints have had some troubles. Under center of course for the Saints is once again Drew Brees. He’s still good at football. Brees has a new weapon to play with this season with rookie wideout Brandin Cooks. Cooks has shined in the preseason, and many around the league feel that he will have a better rookie campaign than the top wide receiver pick Sammy Watkins. Cooks is nice but when I think of the Saints and their passing game, I think Brees to Graham. Jimmy Graham unsuccessfully petitioned the league to allow him to be classified as a wide receiver (he gets more cash that way) but whatever you call him, Graham is an absolute monster on the field and with him back and healthy, Graham should be poised for another amazing season. Defensively eh Saints are good…not great, but with an offense like this one, good is good enough.
Look, I know everybody and their brother is on the Saints here, and that can be scary, but I just can’t see taking the Falcons. Atlanta should be improved over last season, but this Falcon team, in the Georgia Dome or not, cannot hang with a Sean Payton coached Saints squad. Look for Graham to have another huge day, and as long as the number stays under a field goal, I am loving the Saints in this spot. Public play or not.
