TV:

Week 2 is officially all finished up in the NFL, and that means it’s time to start looking forward to Week 3, which will begin in just a couple of days. In the meantime, there’s plenty to talk about as we look ahead to those upcoming matchups, so let’s take our daily look around the league and see what’s happening out there right now.

MNF Roundup: This week’s installment of “Monday Night Football” was a compelling and exciting game--unless you’re a Colts fan, that is. Indy was firmly in control until the third quarter, when the Philadelphia offense finally woke up and took over the game.
Darren Sproles led the way for the Eagles, logging 152 receiving yards on seven grabs along with four carries for 26 yards and a score during a 30-27 Philly victory decided on a last-second field goal.
This one very easily could have gone the other way, but the Colts coughed up the ball on a pair of key turnovers (one pick, one fumble) that the Eagles were able to capitalize on.
Philadelphia moves to 2-0 despite their offense taking time to get going in both games, while Indy sits at 0-2 and needs a shot in the arm to take control of their weak division.

With Ryan Mathews out due to an MCL sprain, backup Chargers RB Donald Brown will be getting an increased workload. It’s not clear at this point whether he’ll start in Week 3 against the Bills or if fellow RB Danny Woodhead will get the call, however.

According to the latest reports that came out yesterday, Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon will be able to return to the field in Week 11, which is November 16 against the Texans. He had previously been suspended for the entire year under the league’s old drug agreement.

In a similar situation, there are five players under punishment for drug infractions under the old agreement who will gain immediate reinstatement with this new policy. They include Wes Welker (Broncos), Orlando Scandrick (Cowboys), Stedman Bailey (Rams), Eric Herman (Giants) and Spencer Nealy (free agent).

Titans running back Dexter McCluster is reportedly dealing with a “sore foot,” and was seen wearing a walking boot after Tennessee’s Week 2 game. We’ll get an update on him tomorrow.

Good news for the Jaguars: WR Cecil Shorts expects to be able to participate in tomorrow’s practice and if all goes well he’ll be out on the field in Week 3 against Indianapolis. He hasn’t been on the field yet this season; He’s dealing with a hamstring injury.
