The Line: Philadelphia Eagles -6 -- Over/Under: 50 See the Latest Odds

The Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles play Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Washington Redskins got a much needed victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, but lost quarterback Robert Griffin III for an extended period of time with an injured ankle. Good thing Kirk Cousins has experience leading the team and is completing a solid 66.7 percent of his passes for 250 yards this season. Of course, Cousins won’t have to do much if the Redskins continue to run the ball well, as they’re averaging five yards per carry led by Alfred Morris, who has 176 yards on 36 carries. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is questionable for this matchup with a shoulder injury. Defensively, the Washington Redskins are allowing a league best 234.5 yards per game and have forced two turnovers and 10 sacks. Keenan Robinson leads the Redskins with 10 solo tackles and Ryan Kerrigan has four sacks.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Washington Redskins - 9/21/14 NFL Pick and Odds

The Philadelphia Eagles have come back in back-to-back games, beating the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts. The Eagles are pretty much what we thought they were going to be, an offensive machine, that is ranked top 10 in both rushing and passing. The two-headed monster of LeSean McCoy and Darren Sproles is averaging 4.5 yards per carry and has become a nightmare to stop in the passing game, as Sproles leads the Eagles with 166 receiving yards. To explain just how explosive the Eagles are offensively, they already have 10 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Defensively, the Philadelphia Eagles are allowing 323.5 yards per game and have forced three turnovers and three sacks. DeMeco Ryans leads the Eagles with 15 tackles and two tackles for loss, while Mychal Kendricks has chipped in 13 tackles.

The Redskins are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 road games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Eagles are 7-21-1 ATS in their last 29 home games and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games in Week 3. The Redskins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Philadelphia.

While the Redskins do have the best defense in the NFL right now, they have yet to face an offense as explosive as the Eagles. I look for Philly to get off to a fast start for a change and win this game by at least a touchdown.
