The Buffalo Bills look to remain undefeated after an emotional victory over the Dolphins last weekend as they host the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
The San Diego Chargers head into Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday looking to avoid a letdown after their impressive victory over the defending Super Bowl champions last weekend and they’ll be without their starting running back in the process. The Chargers upended the Seahawks in San Diego last weekend in what was one of the more exciting games of the season but the Bolts are just a week removed from losing to the Cardinals in Arizona in what looked like was going to be an opening week victory that was stolen from them. The Chargers are a good team that made the playoffs a year ago and despite the volatility that surrounds Philip Rivers at times he is certainly an elite quarterback and without Ryan Mathews for the foreseeable future the Bolts are going to have to rely on Rivers’ arm even more so. The Chargers boast an impressive passing attack and with Antonio Gates proving he isn’t ready to relinquish the starter’s role and Keenan Allen quickly becoming one of the better wideouts in the AFC this unit can go only go up from here.

The Bills meanwhile are the talk of the NFL and certainly one of the league’s biggest surprises through the first two weeks as they went from decimating survivor pools by beating the Bears in Chicago in week one to snatching a pivotal divisional win in their home opener last weekend against Miami. The Bills were destined for a top draft pick and one of the game’s worst records at the beginning of the season after they lost Kiko Alonso and Jairus Byrd but thanks to their running game and special team they are very much in the picture at the moment, though that could change overnight. Sammy Watkins was spectacular in the week two win over the Dolphins and the former Clemson Tiger has his sights set on more as he an EJ Manuel continue their working relationship though I am still very much concerned with Manuel as the team’s starter. This is a tough game to call as the line has it as a pick em at the moment insinuating that San Diego is primed for a letdown after their big win against Seattle or they think that the Bills are for real. Despite buying into the Bills last weekend I think we see them crash down to Earth a little bit here as the Chargers have too much to contend with through the air and while Donald Brown isn’t the same caliber back as Mathews I think he and Danny Woodhead can do enough to give Rivers some flexibility through the air. Take the Chargers.
