There have been some pretty impressive numbers in the NFL so far this year (namely every single one of DeMarco Murray’s stats.) Today, we’re going to take a look at the teams who have the top ten total yards in the league at the halfway point of the season. 


Top Ten Total Yards in the NFL So Far (By Team)


1. The Indianapolis Colts, led by Andrew Luck, have 3,170 yards so far this season. They’re averaging 452.9 yards per game. 


2. The Dallas Cowboys, thanks in large part to Murray, are sitting at 2,815 total yards in 2014. That works out to an average of 402.1 yards per game. 


3. While the Washington Redskins' record might not indicate it, they already have 2,726 total yards on the season. The ‘Skins (who are currently on their 3rd QB) are averaging 389.4 yards a game. 


4. Matt Ryan and his Atlanta Falcons have 2,714 total yards, averaging 387.7 yards per game. 


5. The Baltimore Ravens have put-up 2,710 total yards in 2014. They’ve been averaging 387.1 yards every game. 


6. With an average of 386.7 yards per game, the Pittsburgh Steelers have 2,707 total yards this season. 


7. The New Orleans Saints, who have looked dismal for the most part, have managed to amass 2,622 total yards. They’re averaging 437 yards a game. 


8. The hot as heck San Diego Chargers have 2,520 total yards this year. Philip Rivers and Co. are averaging 360.0.


9. Another Golden State team, the San Francisco 49ers are just behind the Bolts with 2,502 total yards. They’ve been putting-up a median of 347.4 yards per game.


10. The Chicago Bears, who were dealt a tough hand at home on Sunday, have 2,445 total yards so far in 2014. That comes out to an average of 349.3 yards a game.
