Today’s a crazy one in my neck of the woods, so this Humpday’s top ten is going to be quick and easy. We’re going to take a look at the longest receptions of the season thus far. Every good football fan loves to see a player haul in a great catch and all of these more than qualify. 

 

Top Ten Longest Receptions in the NFL (So Far in 2014)

1. The Denver Broncos’ Peyton Manning and Demaryius Thomas hooked-up for an 86 yard reception already this year. 

 

(1*) 2. Desean Jackson, currently receiving for the Washington Redskins, caught an 81 yard bomb this year. 

 

3. Andre Ellington, RB for the Arizona Cardinals, also reeled-in an 81 yard catch in 2014. 

 

4. Baltimore Ravens wideout, Steve Smith, caught an 80 yard pass from Joe Flacco earlier this season. 

 

(4*) 5. The San Francisco 49ers’ Brandon Lloyd also hauled-in an 80 yarder already in 2014. 

 

(4*) 6. Jordy Nelson, star receiver for the Green Bay Packers, has also tallied an 80 yard catch from Aaron Rodgers this season. 

 

(4*) 7. The final 80 yard catch of the season so far belongs to the Buffalo Bills’ Mike Williams. 

 

8. A.J. Green, who Cincinnati Bengals fans are hoping will return soon, had a 77 yard reception prior to his toe injury. 

 

(8*) 9. Oakland Raiders (See? They do still exist even though I’ve mentioned them maybe once this season.) receiver Andre Holmes also had a 77 yard catch. 

 

10. Mohamed Sanu, the Cincinnati Bengals other big-time wideout, reeled-in a 76 yard reception from Andy Dalton. 

 

(10*) 11. The Houston Texans’ Ryan Fitzpatrick and DeAndre Hopkins also teamed-up for a 76 yard catch already this season.
