The Kansas City Chiefs have won three of their last four games and are starting to think playoffs. The Chiefs ground game leads the way, as Knile Davis and Jamaal Charles have combined for over 600 rushing yards and five touchdowns. The Chiefs are averaging 4.5 yards per carry and are the third-best rushing team in the league. The Chiefs have also won nine of their last 12 regular season games when Charles rushes for a touchdown. Alex Smith is completing 64 percent of his passes for nine touchdowns and four interceptions. Smith has thrown just one pick in his last five games. Travis Kelce and Dwayne Bowe have combined for close to 600 receiving yards and three touchdowns, as the Chiefs have 15 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Defensively, the Kansas City Chiefs are allowing 20.2 points, 326.7 yards, and they’ve forced four turnovers and 17 sacks. Josh Mauga leads the Chiefs with 41 tackles and Justin Houston has seven sacks.
The Rams are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Chiefs are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Rams are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
There's a letdown factor with the St. Louis Rams after a big win over the Seahawks, but the Chiefs aren't exactly lighting up the scoreboard to cover the huge spread. I have no play on this line, which is why I'm going to take the under here. Both teams struggle to score at times and the under is 13-3 in the Chiefs last 16 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
