The Line: Miami Dolphins -2 -- Over/Under: 44 See the Latest Odds

The San Diego Chargers and Miami Dolphins square off Sunday at Sun Life Stadium.

The San Diego Chargers have had a week and a half to figure out how to snap their two-game losing skid. The Chargers are pretty much Philip Rivers or bust, as he’s completing 68.3 percent of his passes for 20 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Chargers have won nine of their last 10 games when Rivers throws three or more touchdowns. The Chargers have 35 passing plays of 20 or more yards and five different receivers with 20-plus receptions. Malcom Floyd and Keenan Allen have combined for 897 receiving yards, while Antonio Gates has six touchdowns in his last four games. What’s holding the Chargers back offensively is a lack of running game, as they’re averaging just 3.1 yards per carry and have just three rushing touchdowns all season. Donald Brown is questionable for this game with a concussion and Branden Oliver has 103 rushing yards in his last two games. Defensively, the San Diego Chargers are allowing 18.6 points, 330 yards, and have forced 15 sacks and nine turnovers. Eric Weddle leads the Chargers with 58 tackles and Corey Liuget has 2.5 sacks.

Dolphins vs. Chargers - 11/2/14 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Miami Dolphins have won three of their last four games and look for their first home win since week 1. Ryan Tannehill has been a different quarterback lately, as he’s completing 62.3 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and six interceptions. Tannehill has also been more effective in the ground game, rushing for 40-plus yards in three starting games, bumping the Dolphins season average to five yards per carry. Lamar Miller has scored in three of his last four games and has topped 50 rushing yards in five straight contests. The Dolphins have 15 passing plays of 20 or more yards, and Mike Wallace and Jarvis Landry have combined for more than 600 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The Dolphins have won eight of their last nine games when scoring 21 or more points. Defensively, the Miami Dolphins are allowing 21.6 points, 322.7 yards, and they’ve forced 21 sacks and 14 turnovers. Jelani Jenkins leads the Dolphins with 53 tackles and Cameron Wake has 5.5 sacks.

The Chargers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games and 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Dolphins are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games in Week 9 and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games on grass. The Chargers are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 meetings.

The Miami Dolphins have already held their own against Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler, Philip Rivers shouldn't be any different. Miami is a team that's slowly starting to find itself this season and truly thinks it has what it takes to make the playoffs. I don’t trust a one-dimensional San Diego Chargers offense in the heat of South Florida. Give me the Dolphins to win and cover the tiny number.
