The Line: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -1 -- Over/Under: 45.5 See the Latest Odds

The Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers meet Sunday afternoon at Raymond James Stadium.

The Atlanta Falcons have lost five straight games and at this point head coach Mike Smith is fighting for his job. The main reason behind the Falcons lack of success is a defense that’s allowing 27.6 points, 408.8 yards, and has forced seven sacks and 13 turnovers. The Atlanta Falcons have allowed 21 or more points in 12 of their last 13 games. Paul Worrilow leads the Falcons with 78 tackles and Robert Alford has three interceptions. Offensively, Matt Ryan is completing 64.9 percent of his passes for 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Ryan has thrown three touchdowns and one pick in his last two games, and the Falcons have lost six of their last eight games when he’s thrown at least two touchdowns. Julio Jones and Roddy White have combined for more than 1,100 receiving yards and six touchdowns, and the Falcons have 34 passing plays of 20 or more yards. The Falcons ground game is averaging 4.3 yards per carry and running back Antone Smith is questionable with a neck injury.

Buccaneers vs. Falcons - 11/9/14 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have lost four straight games and are still looking for their first home win of the season. Mike Glennon is completing 57.6 percent of his passes for 10 touchdowns and six interceptions. Glennon has thrown three touchdowns and three picks in his last two games, and the Bucs are 4-8 SU when he throws at least two touchdowns. The Buccaneers have 28 passing plays of 20 or more yards, and Vincent Jackson and Mike Evans have combined for more than 900 receiving yards and six touchdowns. The Buccaneers ground game is averaging 4.2 yards per carry, and Bobby Rainey leads the way with 374 yards and a touchdown. Defensively, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are allowing 30.6 points, 399.9 yards, and they’ve forced 13 sacks and 12 turnovers. Lavonte David leads Tampa Bay with 89 tackles and Gerald McCoy has five sacks.

The Falcons are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. NFC South and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Buccaneers are 16-34-1 ATS in their last 51 home games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The favorite is 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings and the home team is 5-1-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

At this point you have to start questioning if these teams are going to start mailing it in in hopes of getting a top pick in next year’s draft. No point in winning when the playoffs aren’t going to happen for either of these squads. I have no idea who wins this game due to both being so lousy. However, the Buccaneers are at home and the weather should play a factor here. Give me the Bucs to get in the win column, but the best bet would probably be to avoid this one altogether.
