Cardinals vs. Rams - 11/9/14 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Arizona Cardinals have won four straight and seem to be running away with the NFC West. The Cardinals are being led by a defense that’s allowing 19.5 points, 366.4 yards, and they’ve forced eight sacks and 16 turnovers. The Arizona Cardinals have won nine of their last 10 games when allowing 24 or less points. Rashad Johnson leads the Cardinals with 52 tackles and Jerraud Powers has three interceptions. Offensively, Carson Palmer is completing 61.7 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and two interceptions. Palmer has thrown five touchdowns and one pick in his last two games, as the Cardinals have produced 28 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd have combined for more than 900 receiving yards and four touchdowns, while John Brown has seven of his 24 catches in his last two games. The Cardinals ground game is averaging 3.4 yards per carry and Andre Ellington has rushed for 70-plus yards in his last three games.

The Rams are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in November. The Cardinals are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Rams are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 meetings in Arizona and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 meetings overall.

While the Rams have been a nice story the last couple of weeks, it’s hard to bet against the Cardinals with the way they’ve been playing all season. The Arizona Cardinals have emerged as a Super Bowl contender, and, well, the Rams still have a long ways to go to get to that level. The Cardinals should win this game by double digits at home.
