The Kansas City Chiefs and the Seattle Seahawks face off on Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium in a Week 11 NFL matchup with major playoff implications for each team.

The Kansas City Chiefs are 6-3 and in second place in the AFC West and while that puts them a game behind the Broncos for the division it also puts them in the middle of the AFC Wildcard race. The Chiefs offense is averaging 24.1 points and 331.3 yards per game and are led by QB Alex Smith who doesn’t take a lot of risks and doesn’t make a ton of mistakes as he has completed 66.2 percent of his passes for 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. Chiefs vs. Seahawks - 11/16/14 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

The Seattle Seahawks are 6-3 and in second place in the NFC West, two gams behind the Arizona Cardinals and while they are winning their wins haven’t come easy. The Seahawks offense is averaging 26.7 points and 365.3 yards per game and they are plus three in turnover ratio. Russell Wilson is the clear leader of the Seahawks and he has completed 62.5 percent of his passes with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions and he has rushed for 500 yards and four touchdowns. Marshawn Lynch is at the top of his game rushing for 689 yards and nine touchdowns including four last week against the Giants and he has caught 23 passes while Doug Baldwin leads Seattle in receiving with 38 receptions. The Seahawks defense has stiffened in recent weeks and they are allowing 21.2 points and a third ranked 307 yards per game. K.J. Wright has 71 tackles, Earl Thomas has 51 tackles, and Bobby Wagner has 50 tackles. Seattle is hoping to make it back-to-back Super Bowl wins.

Kansas City is 4-0 against the spread in their last four games, 4-0 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 4-1 against the spread following a win. Seattle is 15-5 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 21-10 against the spread following a win, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. The favorite has covered the point spread in 12 of the last 16 meetings of these two teams.

As big of a home field advantage as the Seahawks have the Chiefs is right up there with them and expect it to come out for this one. The Chiefs get after the passer and Wilson is just so elusive but they have enough guys that can get to him to at least contain him and that should be enough here.
