NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 13 Schedule and More
November 25, 2014
Now that all of the NFL games have finished up in Week 12, it’s time to start looking forward to Week 13, which starts in just a couple of days on Thanksgiving. In the meantime, there’s plenty to talk about. Let’s take our daily look around the league and check out some of the headline-grabbing players out there right now.
MNF Wrap-Up: On the Week 12 installment of “Monday Night Football,” we had a high-flying matchup between the Saints and the Ravens. Baltimore’s Justin Forsett was the star of the show in this one, as he posted 22 carries for 182 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the 34-27 victory for his team.
On the other side, Saints QB Drew Brees went 35-of-45 for 420 yards and three touchdowns, but tossed a costly interception that Baltimore returned for a defensive TD.

Eagles fans will want to keep tabs on wide receiver Jordan Matthews heading into Thursday’s game against the Cowboys, as he was added to the team’s injury report yesterday with a knee issue.
Matthews has 25 grabs, 322 yards and three touchdowns over the last three weeks.
The Buccaneers’ Jorvorskie Lane broke a bone in his right leg this past week and is done for the season.
It looks like we’ve got a timeline on Cardinals LB Kenny Demens’ injury. He’s going to be out for 1-2 weeks due to a hamstring issue suffered in Week 12.
Pittsburgh CB Ike Taylor has been MIA from the team’s lineup for the last eight games thanks to an injured forearm, but it’s looking like he’s going to be able to return to the field.
He told reporters yesterday that his doctors gave him the all-clear to return to the field, just in time for this weekend’s matchup against New Orleans.
We’re still playing guessing games with the Bears’ injured defensive players. During comments yesterday, head coach Marc Trestman declined to elaborate on the nature and extent of LB Lance Briggs’ and CB Kyle Fuller’s injuries. They were both hurt this past weekend.
Briggs is suffering from an injured groin, and Fuller has a knee issue. We’ll keep tabs on them this week to see where they’re at.
