TV: CBS

The Green Bay Packers and the New England Patriots face off on Sunday at Lambeau Field in what many feel could be a Super Bowl preview.

The Green Bay Packers have won seven of their last eight games and are the hottest team in the NFC. The Packers offense is averaging a second best in the NFL 32.2 points and 368.8 yards and they are led y QB Aaron Rodgers who has completed 66.7 percent of his passes with 30 touchdowns and three interceptions. Eddie Lacy is the Packers leading rusher with 672 yards and six touchdowns and Jordy Nelson has 68 catches and nine touchdowns and Randall Cobb has 58 catches and 10 touchdowns. The Green Bay defense allows 22.4 points and 371.1 yards per game but they are plus 15 in turnover ratio. Morgan Burnett has 84 catches, A.J. Hawk has 77 tackles, and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has 64 tackles. The Packers started the season slow but they have been full tilt since then.

Packers vs. Patriots - 11/30/14 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots have won seven games in a row and they are the hottest team in the AFC mowing down all of the other division leaders. The Patriots offense averages an NFL best 32.5 points per game and 385.9 yards and are led by QB Tom Brady who has completed 65 percent of his passes with 26 touchdowns and six interceptions. It is running back by committee for the Patriots with Shane Vereen, Jonas Gray, and Legarrette Blount while Julian Edelman has 70 receptions and Rob Gronkowski has 58 catches and nine touchdowns. The New England defense allows 20.6 points and 250.3 yards per game and they are plus 11 in turnover ratio. Jamie Collins has 73 tackles, Dont’a Highower has 62 tackles and 3.5 sacks, and Rob Ninkowski has 6.0 sacks. The Patriots have established themselves as the team to beat.

Green Bay is 5-0-1 against the spread in their last six home games, 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games overall, and 20-7-1 against the spread against a team with a winning record. New England is 6-0 against the spread against a team with a winning record, 4-0 against the spread in their last four games, and 5-11 against the spread in their last 16 road games. The road team is 4-0-1 against the spread in the last five meetings of these two.

The total is set sky high and usually when that happens it falls short and I have to believe that happens here as well. I also have a play on who will cover the spread and I will post that in the Premium Area as well as the app.
