The Line: Houston Texans -6 -- Over/Under: 42.5 See the Latest Odds

TV: CBS

The Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans play Sunday at NRG Stadium.

The Tennessee Titans have lost five straight games and are looking for their first road win since opening week. Zach Mettenberger is completing 58.8 percent of his passes for seven touchdowns and five interceptions. Mettenberger has four touchdowns and two picks in his last two games, and the Titans have 33 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Mettenberger is growing confidence with each performance but he’s been sacked 12 times in just four starts. Delanie Walker and Kendall Wright have combined for more than 1,100 receiving yards and eight touchdowns while Justin Hunter has two touchdowns in his last four games. The Titans ground game is averaging 4.1 yards per carry, as Bishop Sankey leads the way with 432 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, the Tennessee Titans are allowing 26.6 points, 378.7 yards, and they’ve forced 31 sacks and 14 turnovers. Michael Griffin leads the Titans with 82 tackles and Jurrell Casey has five sacks.

Texans vs. Titans - 11/30/14 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Houston Texans have split their last four games and need this win if they hope to stay in the playoff hunt. The Texans are led by their ground game that’s averaging 4.3 yards per carry, as Arian Foster has seven touchdowns. However, Foster is questionable for this game with a groin injury. Alfred Blue would be the next guy up, and he’s topped 200 rushing yards in his last two games. Ryan Fitzpatrick, who has 11 touchdowns and eight interceptions, is likely going to get his starting job back due to Ryan Mallett suffering a season-ending injury. Fitzpatrick hasn’t played since Nov. 2nd and the Texans have 33 passing plays of 20 or more yards. DeAndre Hopkins and Andre Johnson have combined for more than 1,400 receiving yards and five touchdowns while Garrett Graham has six catches in his last two games. Defensively, the Houston Texans are allowing 20.5 points, 387.9 yards, and they’ve forced 21 sacks and 24 turnovers. Kendrick Lewis leads the Texans with 66 tackles and J.J. Watt has 9.5 sacks.

The Titans are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 3-11-2 ATS in their last 16 games overall. The Texans are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. The Titans are 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings and the road team is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings.

The Houston Texans have shown more signs of life than the Tennessee Titans and still have more to play for with a playoff berth still not out of the question. Give me the home team by a touchdown even with their injuries on the offensive side of the ball.
