TV:

Week 14 in the NFL is officially all wrapped up, and now it’s time to start looking forward to Week 15. We’ve got some playoff races heating up in both conferences, and that action will resume in just a couple of days on “Thursday Night Football.” In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable headlines out there right now.

MNF Wrap-Up: We had a high-scoring outing yesterday on “Monday Night Football” between the Packers and the Falcons. Aaron Rodgers had the team up 24 points at halftime before Atlanta stormed back in the final two quarters. Green Bay was able to hang on for a 43-37 victory.
Jordy Nelson led the way for the Pack with eight receptions for 146 yards and two scores. His counterpart, Julio Jones, had a stellar outing with 259 yards and a score on 11 grabs. It was a career-best for him.
The Packers remain one game up on the Lions in the NFC North, while the Falcons are somehow still in first place in the NFC South at 5-8, tied with the Saints for the division lead.

The Chargers’ punter Mike Scifres had surgery yesterday on his fractured clavicle, suffered in the Sunday night loss to the Patriots.
The good news here is that if San Diego makes the playoffs, Scifres would likely be available by then.

The QB drama in DC continues to unfold, as starter Colt McCoy sustained a neck strain in the Redskins’ embarrassing loss to the Rams.
Robert Griffin III came in as relief during the fourth quarter, putting up 33 yards passing on his only drive.
Griffin said after the game that he’s not going to push for the starting gig this week against the Giants, but he will be ready to go if needed.
It’ll be an interesting off-season for the Redskins, as many fans and pundits are speculating they’ll cut ties with RG3 in a possible trade scenario. They won’t have to look far to find potential suitors.

The Cardinals’ Antonio Cromartie is day-to-day with an Achilles injury, but has a chance to hit the field on Thursday for the Rams game. He was carted off on Sunday against KC.

The Titans’ Zach Mettenberger is reportedly done for the season, not that it makes much difference in the grand scheme of things. He’s got a separated AC joint which he aggravated in the Week 14 loss to the Giants. He’ll finish with 1,412 yards and eight touchdowns to seven interceptions.
