Jaguars vs. Titans - 12/18/14 NFL Pick, Odds, and Prediction

USA TODAY Sports

The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost six of their last seven games and play their final home contest. Blake Bortles is completing 60.8 percent of his passes for 10 touchdowns and 17 interceptions. Bortles has two touchdowns and two picks in his last three games, and the Jaguars have 40 passing plays of 20 or more yards. Allen Hurns and Cecil Shorts III have combined for more than 1,100 receiving yards and six touchdowns while Marqise Lee has 15 of his 31 receptions in his last three games. The Jaguars ground game is averaging 4.1 yards per carry, as Toby Gerhart has 265 rushing yards and one touchdown. Defensively, the Jacksonville Jaguars are allowing 26.9 points, 372.6 yards, and they’ve forced 38 sacks and 18 turnovers. Johnathan Cyprien leads Jacksonville with 99 tackles and Sen'Derrick Marks has 7.5 sacks.

The Titans are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and 6-18-2 ATS in their last 26 games overall. The Jaguars are 17-37-1 ATS in their last 55 home games and 4-11-2 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The Titans are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings in Jacksonville and 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings overall.

The Jaguars are the better of these two lousy teams, as they at least make game-changing plays on the defensive side and hae won a game within the last month. With Jacksonville being the better team and playing its last game at home, I'll take the Jags and the chalk here.
