Well, today is the day. The 2015 NFL playoffs will begin this afternoon at 4:35 ET with a matchup between the Cardinals and Panthers. After that it’s the Ravens and Steelers at 8:15 PM ET.
While we’re waiting on those kickoffs, let’s take one last look at the notable players and situations around the league. Here’s the latest.

We’ve got a bit of an Aaron Rodgers update for you this morning. The Packers QB will likely not be practicing until Thursday at least; he’s still getting treatment on his injured calf.
Rodgers was hurt during Week 17 while throwing a touchdown pass. He was able to return.
Green Bay will get whichever team in the NFC is the highest-seeded after this weekend.

The Steelers’ injury report yesterday included some encouraging news. Ike Davis and Troy Polamalu, most notably, were named probable for today’s game against the Ravens. Polamalu has been out for four of the team’s last seven games due to injury issues.

Let’s check out a few injury issues from the Steelers’ division rival Bengals. WR A.J. Green was officially ruled as doubtful for the Sunday game against Indianapolis, thanks to a concussion.
Also of note, TE Jermaine Gresham, who is battling a back injury, has been named questionable for the matchup.

The Panthers have a few notable probable designations for their game against Arizona. Most notably, RB DeAngelo Williams gets that nod, as he’s bouncing back well after a hand injury. He’s missed four straight games due to that ailment but was able to participate fully in practice this week.
Williams and Jonathan Stewart will likely split time in the Carolina backfield.
