The Dallas Cowboys head into Lambeau Field on Sunday looking to keep their undefeated road record intact while simultaneously ending Green Bay's home winning streak, their season, and booking a spot in the NFC title game. The Cowboys survived a scare from the Detroit Lions last weekend and it wasn't without controversy as many Lions fans are still up in arms over the non pass interference call that ultimately led to Dallas sealing the victory. The Cowboys are loaded offensively with Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, and Demarco Murray combining to form one of the scariest three headed monsters in football but the Packers have a pretty formidable unit as well and the Cowboys know that at Lambeau they are going to have to play flawless football on the offensive side of things and create pressure and turnovers on Aaron Rodgers and Co. on the other side. Demarco Murray has been the catalyst for this team all season long and if he can come out and establish the ground game early for the Cowboys it should allow ample opportunity for Romo to look down field for Dez who at the moment seems uncoverable and always makes big plays when his team needs it most.
The Packers had last weekend off thanks to securing the second seed in the NFC and as a result they have the luxury of hosting this weekend instead of having to travel which is massive for the Packers as they went a perfect 8-0 at home this season. However, the Cowboys seem to thrive outside of Dallas as they were also undefeated going 8-0 on the road this season which to me is way more impressive than running the table at home and one of those streaks will be extended at least for one more week while the other will go up in flames and mean nothing in the long run as their season will be over. The Pack have had a few games this season where they have absolutely thrashed the opponent and looked like Lombardi favourites but have also had some stinkers where they stumbled against good defenses and while Dallas isn't among the most intimidating bunch they certainly have some play makers that will get to Rodgers especially with the news that he is nursing a torn muscle in his calf. This game is going to be a doozy and I really hope both teams come to play and if that is the case I see this one coming down to the wire and getiing more than a field goal with the Cowboys is a gift.
