NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Off-Season Schedule and More
February 10, 2015
The NFL off-season continues to churn along, and though it’ll be quite a while until Week 1 of the 2015 season, we’ve got plenty to keep us occupied in the meantime. Let’s check out some of the notable happenings from around the league.
According to a report that emerged yesterday, the Ravens’ Jeremy Zuttah (the team’s center) underwent surgery on his hip. It was an arthroscopic procedure to remove bone spurs.
Zuttah played with the bone spurs throughout 2014, which is pretty remarkable considering what a good year he and the rest of the offensive line had.

Will the Cardinals be able to hang onto CB Antonio Cromartie? That’s a tough question, and something the team will need to address directly very soon.
Cromartie is set to be a free agent next month, and he’s been quoted as saying that returning to the New York Jets (where he played for three seasons) is a distinct possibility. Former Cardinals DC Todd Bowles is now the head coach there.
Whether or not Arizona makes a play to keep him remains to be seen.
If Vikings receiver Greg Jennings is going to stay in Minnesota, he’ll likely have to restructure his deal. He’s under contract for three more years, making $8.9 million per season. In 2015, he’s got an $11 million cap number.
Jennings posted 59 grabs for 742 yards and six scores in 2014.
The Saints inked OL Senio Kelemete to a one-year extension yesterday. He played in 10 games for New Orleans last season. The new deal will pay him $585,000.
Here’s an interesting bit of information out of Miami. The Dolphins and QB Ryan Tannehill are reportedly discussing a long-term contract extension, according to sources close to the team. Early indications put the new deal in the neighborhood of seven years at a total of around $105 million.
Even though Tannehill hasn’t made the playoffs in Miami just yet, he’s coming off a career year numbers-wise. He posted 4,045 passing yards and 27 touchdowns while limiting himself to 12 picks.
