We’ve reached yet another Sunday with no NFL football to look forward to, but there’s still plenty to talk about when it comes to the news around the league. That said, let’s take our daily look at the headlines and see who everyone’s talking about.

This doesn’t come as much of a surprise, but the Jets have cut ties with RB Chris Johnson, declining to exercise his $500,000 option for 2015. That will make him a free agent next month.
Johnson didn’t quite pan out to be what the Jets thought he would when they signed him to a two-year, $8 million deal last off-season. He posted 155 carries for 663 yards.

In related news, the Jets will be bringing back both Jason Babin and Calvin Pace for 2015; the team picked up options on both players.
Pace will make $2.125 million in salary next year while Babin is down for $1.35 million.

The Jets are also not expected to retain QB Michael Vick in 2015, and he’s likely set to become a free agent.

Let’s just make it a Jets-heavy day today by checking out Antonio Cromartie down in Arizona. The groundwork for a reunion is certainly there, as Cromartie was recently quoted as saying that coming back to the Jets as a free agent would be an “easy choice” if they were interested in his services.
With former Cardinals DC Todd Bowles running things in New York now, and given the Jets need for secondary help, we can see this happening very easily.

The Saints re-signed kicker Shayne Graham yesterday to a league-minimum contract. He’ll get $970,000 in 2015 after going 19-of-22 with a long of 50 yards on field goals last season.
