Now that the calendar has flipped to a new week, we can start looking forward to the new NFL year, which starts in just two days. While we’re waiting, let’s check out some of the new information out there concerning some of the big stars across the league.

Let’s start things out today with some free agent rumors. First we’ll check out Houston, as there’s a report out there saying they’re very interested in former Browns QB Brian Hoyer. He’ll be a top target for them in the free agency period.
Hoyer played 14 games in Cleveland last year, posting 3,326 yards, 12 scores and 13 picks.
If Hoyer doesn’t end up going to the Texans, the Rams, Titans and Jets could all be potential landing spots.

Over in San Diego, the Chargers have their eyes on G Mike Iupati, who is set to become a free agent.
San Diego really needs help on their offensive line; they were ravaged by injuries and poor performance in 2014.

The Falcons’ Sean Weatherspoon is supposedly going to hit the free agent market in a couple of days, as the reports say he’s likely not coming back to Atlanta.
Weatherspoon suffered a Lisfranc sprain (foot) in 2013 and sat out 2014 due to a torn Achilles. Despite the injury history, the Cardinals are said to have some major interest here.

Probably the biggest fish on the free agent radar this year is Lions DL Ndamukong Suh. There’s been a handful of teams mentioned as potential suitors, and you can throw the aforementioned Chargers into that ring as well.
San Diego will reportedly be making a run at Suh, who will likely get a contract in excess of $100 million when he finally does sign.
Competing with San Diego for Suh will be the Colts, Dolphins, Raiders, Jaguars, Lions, Redskins and Giants--just to name a few.
