We’re now inside the beginning of a new work week, and there’s lots of NFL news to take care of this morning in our daily wrap-up. With that said, let’s check out the latest headlines happening around the league.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hearing varying reports about the status of Seahawks QB Russell Wilson’s contract.
The latest reports have Wilson and the Seahawks nowhere close to reaching a deal, according to sources close to the situation.
Wilson is coming into the final year of his rookie deal, and there’s a distinct possibility that he and the team don’t get a new contract hashed out before this current deal expires.
Over the past three seasons in the NFL, Wilson has 9,940 yards passing with 72 touchdowns and 26 interceptions. He also had 849 rush yards last season, the highest total in the NFL among quarterbacks.

This weekend, veteran free agent WR Greg Jennings visited with the Panthers.
Jennings is coming off a stint with the Vikings and was cut this past week. There are reportedly at least a handful of teams interested in acquiring him.
Jennings posted 127 grabs for 1,546 yards and 10 scores during his two years with the Vikes.

Among the teams interested in Jennings is Miami, who is looking to add some more weapons at the WR position.
The Dolphins will reportedly be speaking with Jennings soon, and will also kick the tires on former 49er Michael Crabtree.

Steelers fans got some good news yesterday. Veteran linebacker James Harrison inked a new two-year deal with Pittsburgh.
Harrison went to the Bengals last year after 11 years with the Steelers. He won two Super Bowls with Pittsburgh.
