We’re cruising into another off-season weekend in the NFL, and there’s still plenty to talk about. Let’s take our daily look at the headlines and see which players are making noise out there right now.

Vikings Coach Mike Zimmer gave us an update on left tackle Matt Kalil yesterday. The big man is reportedly feeling healthy again and seems to be getting over his knee issues that plagued him last season.
Kalil had surgery on his left knee before last year and has started in all 48 games since he entered the league. We’ll see in the next month or so if the Vikes decide to pick up his fifth-year option.

The Steelers made a minor move yesterday, re-signing WR Darrius Heyward-Bey to a one-year deal.
Heyward-Bey will be going into year two with Pittsburgh after putting up three grabs for 33 yards in 2014.

The Dolphins’ Derrick Shelby signed his restricted free agent tender yesterday. He’ll be getting $2.35 million in 2015.
Shelby, who is a DE, has posted 5 ½ sacks and one pick in his pro career.

Good news for Eagles LB Kiko Alonso today. He’s scheduled to be healthy in time for the team’s OTAs this season.
Alonso is coming off a torn ACL and subsequent surgery. He moved to Philadelphia as a part of the LeSean McCoy deal.

We’ve got some new information this morning regarding Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower, and it’s not so good.
The New England linebacker is expected to miss between six and seven months following his February surgery to repair a torn labrum.
Hightower may not be able to return for the start of the regular season in 2015. He played through the issue during much of 2014.
