We’ve hit yet another NFL off-season weekend, and the draft is a little over a month away. In the meantime, it’s a great opportunity to check out some of the notable players and situations out there around the league.

The Panthers inked WR Jarrett Boykin to a one-year deal yesterday. He’s coming off a season with the Packers during which he posted just three grabs for 23 yards.
Boykin spent three seasons in Green Bay, with his best year coming in 2013, where he posted 49 grabs for 681 yards.

The Bears inked a new CB yesterday, agreeing to terms with Alan Ball.
Ball is 29 years old and coming off a two-year stint with the Jaguars. He played in just seven games last year thanks to a biceps issue, but posted 59 tackles, 17 passes defended and three picks.

The Titans also signed a CB yesterday, but he’s not a new face in Tennessee. Brandon Harris is now on a new one-year deal after playing in 11 games for the Titans in 2014.

Will Matt Schaub have a new home in Atlanta? It’s possible. After getting released by the Raiders this month, there’s been talk around the Falcons that the team may end up bringing him back as a potential backup candidate to No. 1 QB Matt Ryan.

Yet another cornerback who signed yesterday is Terence Newman, who reunites with Mike Zimmer in Minnesota.
Zimmer and Newman were together with the Cowboys and Bengals. This new deal is reportedly a one-year, $2.5 million contract.

Apparently, the Rams are still in the market to draft a quarterback this year, despite the recent addition of former Eagle Nick Foles to the roster.
Right now, the Rams sit at No. 10 overall in this year’s draft. That means they probably won’t be in play for Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota, so they’ll be looking at Brett Hundley, Sean Mannion, Garrett Grayson and Bryce Petty--unless the team decides to trade up.
