School: Clemson Tigers

Position: Outside Linebacker
Career Stats: 72 tackles, 33 sacks and seven forced fumbles.
Strengths: Vic Beasley is probably the most dangerous pure pass rusher in this draft, as his first step quickness is off the charts. Beasley gets off the ball well, has tremendous instincts and a relentless pursuit to where he can chase down even the faster running backs. There’s a reason Vic Beasley had 44.5 tackles for loss in his last two seasons at Clemson. Beasley can also be a streaky player at times, but when he dominates, he dominates to the point he can almost single handedly can games. Due to Beasley’s overall athleticism, there are also little concerns in terms of fit, as I can see him in either a 3-4 or 4-3 defense.
Weaknesses: You’d like to see Vic Beasley add some weight to his smallish frame in hopes he’ll be more effective against blocks. Right now, Beasley relies a little too much on his athleticism to make plays. Beasley can sometimes be ineffective against the run, which has to be the biggest concern for the team drafting him.
Projection: I see Vic Beasley being a Top 10 pick, as he’s a pass rusher who can contribute right away and add a spark to a struggling teams defense. It’s also quite intriguing that we have yet to see the best of Beasley, as he should be more productive once he bulks up his frame. Overall, Beasley should be one of the first names called in the NFL draft.
