It’s a new month, and at the end of it we’ll be experiencing the 2015 NFL draft. In the meantime, there’s plenty to talk about as news trickles in from around the league, so here’s a look at some of the notable headlines out there today.

New Browns wide receiver Dwayne Bowe gave an interview yesterday, during which he revealed his plans as he moves forward with his new team.
Bowe is seeking to “revitalize” himself in Cleveland, and also said he’s going to be showcasing his abilities in 2015.
Bowe is coming off a long stint with the Chiefs. He’s racked up 532 receptions for 7,155 yards and 44 scores over his career.

DT Antonio Smith was cut by the Raiders yesterday, but it didn’t take long for rumors to start swirling about potential suitors.
Smith is reportedly getting some interest from the Texans, a team which he played for during five seasons. He’s 33 years old and has started in at least 15 games every year for the last half-dozen.

Running back Jacquizz Rodgers has a new home in the Windy City. He inked a one-year deal with the Bears yesterday after a four-year stint with the Falcons.
Rodgers has 1,116 rush yards, 1,104 receiving yards and 10 scores in his career.

The Colts added another WR weapon to their arsenal yesterday, signing Vincent Brown.
He’s coming off a seven-game season with the Raiders, putting up 12 catches for 118 yards.

The Panthers signed LB Jason Trusnik to a one-year deal yesterday. He played in all 16 games for the Dolphins in 2014, posting 48 tackles and an interception.

Yesterday, the Eagles formally announced the signing of WR Miles Austin. He’s there on a one-year deal.
Austin had just the formality of passing his physical before the deal was set in stone. He’s coming off a 47-catch, 568-yard season in 2014 that yielded two touchdowns.

February 16: Teams can designate franchise players

Feb 17-23: NFL Scouting Combine (Indianapolis)

March 10: 2015 league year begins; free agency begins at 4 PM ET and all teams must be under salary cap

March 22-25: Annual meeting

April 30-May 2: NFL Draft (Chicago)

May 8-11: Rookie mini-camps begin
