NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Off-Season Schedule and More
April 30, 2015
Well, today’s the day. We’ve finally made it to the beginning of the 2015 NFL Draft, and with tonight’s first round, we’ll get a lot of answers to the questions that have been brewing over the past couple of months. That said, let’s take our daily look at the league landscape and see what’s going on out there.
The 49ers’ NaVorro Bowman seems to be coming along nicely after a torn ACL caused him to miss the whole 2014 campaign.
Bowman says he’s “passing all the tests” in his recovery process, but still says he’s got a few aches in his knee.
Bowman is looking to return to the field after posting 120 tackles, five sacks and two picks in 2013.

The Ravens re-signed RB Fitzgerald Toussaint yesterday. He was an exclusive-rights free agent.
Toussaint posted just six carries for 12 yards in the regular season last year; he may see a bit more action in this upcoming campaign now that Bernard Pierce has left for Jacksonville.
The Jets’ Damon Harrison signed his offer sheet with the team yesterday, which will keep him in New York for this year on a $2.35 million deal.
The nose tackle Harrison posted 30 solo tackles last year for Gang Green.
The Bears declined to pick up the fifth-year option for LB Shea McClellin. He was the 19th overall pick in the draft in 2012.
McClellin appeared in 12 games for the Bears in 2014, logging 24 tackles and one sack.
It looks like WR Hakeem Nicks has a new home. He inked a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans yesterday. The new contract is worth $1.4 million with a $100,000 signing bonus.
Nicks posted only 38 passes for 405 yards and four touchdowns with the Colts in a down-year during 2014.
