NFL Updates: News From Around the League, Week 1 Schedule and More
September 12, 2015
We’ve got just one more day to wait before the majority of the NFL teams out there kick off their 2015 regular season. In the meantime, let’s check out some of the notable news items in our daily wrap-up.
The Rams’ Benny Cunningham looks like he’ll be getting the starting gig tomorrow, thanks to injured backs Todd Gurley and Tre Mason.
Cunningham is in his third year after entering the league as an undrafted free agent. Mason is probably the closer of the other two to starting, but he hasn’t been able to practice all week due to a hamstring injury.

Now let’s check in on a few big-name wide receivers out there, stargint with Dez Bryant in Dallas. He’s probable for tomorrow’s big opener against the Giants due to his hamstring injury.
Bryant hasn’t played all preseason and has been limited in the team’s practices. He’s going for another big touchdown number after scoring 41 times over the last three seasons.
As for the Packers’ Randall Cobb, he’s probable as well for his team’s opening game tomorrow in Chicago.
Cobb has been dealing with a sprained right shoulder. He’ll be a big part of the offense in 2015 with fellow WR Jordy Nelson out of action.
Down in Arizona, the Cardinals’ Michael Floyd has a questionable tag for tomorrow’s matchup against the Saints.
Floyd has posted 112 grabs for 1,882 yards and 11 scores in his last two years.
As for the aforementioned Bears, they’ve got a big questionable WR with Alshon Jeffery.
Although he’s got a Q tag, Jeffery is thought to be healthy enough to play with that calf injury. We’ll see if he can go at game time.
